A capsule system without capsules?
A utopia.
Until the Coffee B team proved otherwise.

Until the Coffee B team proved otherwise.
The coffee capsule was invented in Switzerland in 1976: an innovation of genius, but one whose success has gradually turned into a global environmental problem. Billions of capsules are thrown away every year. And now, some forty years later, a revolutionary idea is germinating once again in Switzerland: a capsule system - entirely without capsules.
"For me, developing a capsule system without a capsule is like landing on the moon without a rocket. A mission impossible," said one team member.
But as the researchers and developers know, impossible is impossible - until the effort pays off. And so the team set about designing projects and experimenting with the most disparate components and technologies. Later, they got together with three engineers who had come up with a capsule-free system that needed to be optimized.
Their work bore fruit a few years later with the creation of a 100% compostable coffee ball. Its aroma is preserved thanks to a fine membrane composed exclusively of raw materials of natural origin. The finest coffee varieties, Café Royal's long-standing roasting expertise and harmonious blends guarantee incomparable coffee pleasure.
